An exceptional teacher. Vic listens and is able to breakdown concepts and techniques into manageable bites based on experience level. I made the most personal progress, in the short time, under Vjc’s instruction.

My son took ukulele lessons for about two years and the experience was really good. He would still be with this instructor if our schedule would allow it. The instructor is very patient, attentive, funny and responsive to the needs of the students to make sure the students love music and make progress at the same time. A great way to discover music for the budding musician or to learn more skills for the more accomplish musician.

Looked forward to ukulele lessons. Vic Artiga was excellent in determining what I needed as a student, whether it be encouragement or a challenge. Loved when we “jammed” together because I felt like I was a “musician”.

I wanted to learn how to play electric blues. I basically started with learning pentatonic blues scales. All this was brand new to me. I feel like I got a good start on this. He knew what it was that I wanted to learn. Very satisfying. Also, he was very supportive and encouraging, I liked that.

Frequently asked questions

I sit down with all my students, get an assessment of where they are on the instrument, and ask them where they want to take their playing in the next six months.  I can teach all styles and especially rock, blues, jazz, and country.

I am unique because I studied at both the Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood and the Berklee College of Music.  While at MI I studied with session ace, Dan Gilbert, and fusion legend, Scott Henderson. I have completed three programs at the Berklee College of Music to include Guitar Master, General Music Studies, and Professional Bass. While I Berklee I also studies with jazz legend Gary Burton.

In general, I charge one dollar per minute. A thirty minute lesson is $30.00, a forty-five minute is $45.00.

I've been teaching for many years.  I love teaching and helping students grow, build confidence, and accomplish their musical goals.

I love working with students of all levels and all ages.

My jazz/R&B duo recently shared the stage with funk legends Kool and the Gang.  Check us out at www.vipmusicduo.com.
