I credit my time studying with Todd for a vast percentage of the successes I had in future performance endeavors. He acted as a trustworthy advisor and a reliable resource. Above all, obviously, was his vocal instruction. With him I was able to go from an untrained kid whose voice had just dropped to someone who is very confident in vocal ability, possesses a strong repertoire as well as an understanding of music and technique, and who has had many opportunities as a result of Todd’s training. Without him I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I would recommend him as an instructor to anyone with a love of singing and a passion to learn.

I had Todd as voice teacher for a year in college well my current voice teacher was on sabbatical and he was amazing. Before I worked with Todd I was really struggling with nasality and focused a lot of my time and lessons on trying to fix it. It wasnt till I started taking lessons with Todd when things started to click. He really took the time to break things down and explain exactly how the body works and how you need to use your whole body to sing. He always pushed me to do my best and always picked me up when I felt down. He has helped me so much in my journey of being the best singer I can be and I will forever be grateful for that.

Todd is so experienced and knowledgeable in many different styles of singing! He is a warm and welcoming person and wonderful instructor.

Todd is an amazing teacher! He is extremely knowledgeable in the physiological aspects to singing. I learned so much from him. How every body part influences a singer’s ability to sing properly and increase range, tone and quality. Todd worked with my son for 2-years and the improvement was incredible! My son had many physiological impediments that kept him from reaching his potential. Todd researched his physical problems and found ways to help my son overcome them! My son worked hard to improve his voice and with Todd’s guidance my son has been able to be part of a top 10 ICHSA A Capella group, and is now attending college majoring in Music Education. These accomplishments would not have been possible without Todd as his vocal coach. I would recommend Todd Fortier, he will help you to achieve your vocal goals.

Todd is a phenomenal instructor. I worked with him in college when he stepped in for a year when my original instructor went on sabbatical and he was fantastic. Because of the pandemic, all learning was online so Todd was put in an especially difficult situation trying to work with students who were simultaneously trying to learn how to be students during a pandemic and he handled the transition with us very well. He is very warm and kind all the while being very professional and he knows how to push his students in an encouraging way to truly unlock their potential and expand their vocal abilities. Through the year I took lessons with Todd, I definitely noticed a marked difference and improvement in my voice from developing strength in my head voice to a general improvement in the quality of my tone. Todd also inspired so much confidence in my abilities not only as a singer, but also as an artist, a songwriter, and a performer and I think the capability of a teacher to inspire their students in this way is so important. I am a much better singer and performer for having taken lessons from Todd and I highly recommend him to anyone!

Todd Fortier is the most caring, empathetic, professional, and kind man I’ve ever met. Todd is extremely flexible with scheduling. He helped me make the most progress I’ve ever seen in myself as a vocalist, and a person. He really cares about every student he teaches. I have some physical issues I was born with. He did research on the issues and came up with ways to help me sing the best I can. When I started with him, I could barely sing in tune. Now I’ve gotten a perfect score on solo ensemble repertoire, I’ve gotten in some of my schools highest choirs, and I’m starting college and studying Music Education. I didn’t think any of this would be possible because of my disabilities. Todd Fortier is not only an outstanding teacher, but he is also a great person, and friend. I cannot stress enough that Todd Fortier is the best vocal teacher you will ever have.
