I work with the individual, at their pace and gradually bring them up to speed and make it fun for them. As they progress, I record them like an audio report card, so we can reflect on their progress, eventually they learn how to play with others like in a band environment. I will use backing tracks for them to play along with and when they are up to speed record them as they would in a recording studio so they can experience how the recording process works and how it can help make them a better player.
