Hi! My name is Jonah Harris. I am an artist, producer, session musician, and multi instrumentalist here in Southern California. My musical training is well rounded as I was both formal and informal educated. I graduated with a degree in commercial music from CSULA. I also learned a great deal of my musical skills informally from my time in studio and performance environments since the age of 15! These differing experiences informed my teaching style to focus on inspiring personal creative expression from my students opposed to simply teaching skills. By doing so I can help you not just improve your technical ability on your instrument of choice, but I will be able to expand your musical and creative understanding as a whole! He gives lessons to my 11 year old son and he loves it! After a poor experience with another instructor and son enjoys playing again. Jonah makes the lesson engaging and the way he teaches my son is able to learn so much faster!

Jonah is an excellent guitar teacher for my 12 year old son. My son has some learning difficulties and Jonah has been great at being flexible, reading my son’s mood and pivoting the lesson in away my son always learns. Most importantly we have fun. We laugh, we jam, we create, and we always walk away glad we had our lesson. Jonah is also flexible with our schedule as well as the speed in which my son can learn, no rushing, no forcing something that isn’t working. We are finding a joy for music first and then we will grow our knowledge when we are ready. Jonah is also extremely talented and capable of shifting to a more structured and traditional lesson plan. I think that is his super power he can make the musical experience tailored to the student. He has been great and we are so glad we found him!
