I assess with them what is it that they truly want to be able to do and customize my approach accordingly.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone with you can comfortably connect with. It is important to feel you get the support you need on you learning journey. Anyone can find theory in books or online but I believe that a good teacher is like a coach which will help you succeed.
