Mike is a fantastic teacher, with a very diverse musical background. Whether its learning theory, tackling new riffs, or improving dexterity and expanding your knowledge of the fret board, Mike does it all from a very zen place. Ive grown a lot as a player since taking lessons with him, and highly recommend it to anyone else, regardless of skill level.

Mike is a consummate guitarist and guitar teacher. He knows his music theory, as evidenced by his guitar show Theory Thursday, viewable on Facebook Live and YouTube, and is well-respected in the music community. My 16 year old son has been taking lessons from Mike for 2 years, and has advanced by leaps and bounds under his tutelage. My son says that his guitar lessons with Mike are always the highlight of his week. If you are looking for a fun, kind, patient, and skilled guitar teacher, then please dont hesitate to choose Mike.

I have been taking lessons from Mike for around 6 months. Each lesson Mike focuses on a skill or set of knowledge to study over the following week along with a song to inspire me while I practice. Mike keeps lessons fun and interesting while encouraging me to grow as a student. He is willing to go out of his way to help his students by making himself available for questions throughout the week, even going so far as to make personalized videos to help clear any confusion or misunderstanding between lessons. Mike is also flexible and understanding, allowing me to reschedule lessons when work or family conflicts interfered with my schedule. I feel like I have learned a great deal so far in my short time with Mike and he has helped me stay focused and inspired.

Mike has been teaching my son for over a year. He is extremely knowledgeable and intuitive in his instruction. He has a huge amount of patience working with a young student. Definitely recommend him for a very personalized instruction.

Mike is the best. Started guitar late in life and Mike tailored lessons to my desire to noodle the blues on both acoustic and electric. Unlike his other students, I was not looking for deep theory, Not only great instructor, but we developed a lasting friendship.

He’s the best! By the second lesson you’ll be playing songs that you like and if you practice you’ll be a rock star in no time. He teaches you any type of music you like. I’ve been going for 2 years now!
