About
Well hello there!
Thanks for inquiring about my guitar lessons. My name is Samuel and I've been playing guitar for over fifty years as well as teaching for over twenty years.
Although l specialize in gently encouraging lessons for beginners to facilitate the fun part, learning to play songs, l also work with more experienced players to expand their skills..
While my repertoire is primarily the folk, folk-rock, protest, and classic rock of the 60’s and 70’s, l easily adapt my style to each individual and focus on what interests my students.
I charge $50 per hour and $35 per half hour at my home and $65/$50 plus applicable tolls if l travel to you. I also offer online lessons.
In any case, l strongly recommend weekly hour long lessons to maximize your progress while you build on your skills from one lesson to the next.
Please feel free to first text and then call me at (551) 574-0353 with any questions you may have. I look forward to helping you play songs that inspire YOU!
Peace & blessings,
Samuel

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am personable and ask the student what qualities they desire in a teacher. I am professional and utilize gentle accountability in my process and am quite supportiver and encouraging as well as break down the process into manageable pieces so the student can achieve the success of playing their first and/or next song as soon as possible
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I first taught guitar over thirty years ago to first time learners in a summer camp environment and have worked with students in various styles and levels of experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For in home lessons, I charge $65/hour and for students traveling to me, I charge $50/hour
How did you get started teaching?
As I started learning and asking others for tips, others began to ask me and I found that my gentle and supportive style was highly successful.
