🙋🏻♂️ About Me:
I’m Kevin Harvey, a professional session and touring guitarist with years of experience performing and recording across a wide range of genres. I’ve toured nationally with Grammy-nominated reggae artist Matisyahu, two-time Grammy-winning producer/recording artist DENM, and currently perform as a member of the alternative rock act Cydeways.
I’ve played some of the most iconic venues in the U.S.—including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre, and the Santa Barbara Bowl—and performed at major festivals like Lollapalooza, BeachLife, Cali Vibes, and California Roots.
My background also includes extensive studio work, having been the in-house guitarist at Playback Recording Studio (where artists such as Katy Perry, Jack Johnson, YG, Rebelution, and Iration recorded). I frequently collaborate out of Hidden City Studios in Santa Barbara and have partnered with leading guitar brands like Seymour Duncan, Taylor, Ibanez, Knaggs, and J Rockett Audio Designs for product showcases.
I hold a degree in Ethnomusicology from UC Santa Barbara, giving me both the academic and practical foundation to help students develop not just their technique, but also their musicianship, creativity, and understanding of music.
Lesson Options & Rates:
🎶 One-Hour Lesson at My Studio (Goleta, CA) or Virtual (Zoom, etc.) – $80/hour
🎶 One-Hour Lesson at Student’s Home (Santa Barbara area) – $95/hour
