About
I had played the guitar for 9 years before studying Jazz Guitar for several years (2015-2020) where I studied under world class jazz and classical musicians. I was the guitar player for the College Big Band, as well as a performer in the small group ensembles (i.e. Jazz Combo).
I have been giving lessons for the last two years in theory 🎼 and guitar 🎸 and have had much sucess and great feedback for those students. If you would like references, email me! [email protected]
I enjoy seeing my students develop their abilities and make new connections in the process of learning. I enjoy facilitating growth and seeing the progress each week. When my student continues to build confidence and meet their goals it brings me joy: as they see themselves execute musical skills musically they never thought they could, and continue to see that progress without refrain! It's beautiful!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First and foremost it is very important to get to know each other and understand where the student is at in their musical journey where they came from and where they plan on going. Once that's established it's easy to meet the student where they are at and ultimately allow them to guide the lessons based off of questions they may have at present. Once any underlying questions have been addressed I can then make suggestions as far as how to take their plane to the next level in terms of technique practice approach and theoretical concepts that will develop their philosophical/theoretical approach to playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing for 12 years as a songwriter guitar player singer and for the last four years have been studying formally in college playing in the city College big band playing professionally and private parties and restaurants and of course giving lessons. For the last year I have been hired to work as a on staff music teacher for a local private pre-school teaching kids about music at a young age 2 to 5.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a sliding scale for my lessons which range from $30-$50 which may vary from student to student based of of a few factors, but namely: the student's financial stability, and the frequency of the lessons.
