What is your typical process for working with a new student?

If it’s a new student, I get them playing a song as quickly as possible. If it’s someone with experience, I chat with them about their level of expertise, what they want to accomplish and go from there. I always ask what sort of music they want to make.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Graduate of Mich. State Univ. Former Columbia and Motown writer/recording artist. Awarded gold record for co-writing a Diana Ross time. Played for nine years in an original music group with famed bassist from the modern rock group Incubus.
