What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We meet, I will get to know you and analyze your current level of experience, then discuss what your needs might be and work out an individual plan for what you'll benefit from the most.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied at University of Hamburg, Germany and UCLA, Los Angeles. Professional Musician since 1981.
How did you get started teaching?
During my time of education. Enjoy it tremendously ever since.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Go meet in person and get to know your prospect teacher. Don't be intimidated, every teacher is most likely a much better player than you are. Go with your gut feeling to decide if the teacher is the right fit for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should be completely open and unafraid to unfold their personality. A good teacher will always respect and foster the student as an individual player.
