About
I have a BA in Music at UCLA and worked on a Masters in Vocal Performance at WSU. I toured nation-wide with a folk rock group and sang as a soloist while performing in front of thousands. My approach to teaching is unique, in that I offer classical training to build the voice while at the same time making the lessons fun and appropriate to the age and skill of my students. My students sing everything from opera to pop and rock. I also offer expert coaching for performance and auditions, since I directed musical theater for seven years. I also give my students the opportunity to perform before a live audience twice a year in Santa Monica at the MLK Recital Hall. Each showcase is unique and has a theme. Most recently a former student, Lana Condor, is starring in a Netflix movie" To All the Boys I've Loved Before". Very proud of her accomplishment. She truly gained a lot of confidence in studying voice with me.
I love helping each student discover notes they didnt know they have and a power that amazes them. I also love seeing the personal growth this training brings. I teach people of all ages, from 5 to 90's including Sylvester Stallone's mother who is going on 98!!
I also love helping my singer/songwriter students hone their skills.
