Raffia Music Studio is the place where musical dreams and aspirations come true. Raffia Music Studio offers private Voice, Piano, Bass, Guitar, and Drum Lessons, Vocal ensembles, along with studio recording capabilities, and more! All ages, experiences and levels are welcome to take lessons at our school. Our mission is to provide a solid musical foundation that creates an outlet for our students to strive in self expression, creativity, and excellence.
School Director and founder of the Raffia Music Studio- Raffia Ford has performed with some the music industries best, such as Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Blake Shelton, The Jacksons, Bastille, and more! Raffia is a Berklee College of Music graduate where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, having taught in both public and private institutions.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The instructors typical starting process with new students is to make an overall accessment of the students abilty and understanding on the instrument of study/interest. It is then the instructor will be able to take the necessary steps towards accomplishing the goals and musical needs of the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our instructors are working with some of the music industries best! Christina Aguilera, Diana Ross, Toni Braxon, The Jacksons, Bastille,Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and More!

Our instructors have teaching experience in the range of 10-30 years of performance and music education.

Raffia Music Studio offers lessons to students of all ages and experience levels. Ages 4-92!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Advice that I would give a student looking to hire an instructor would consist of one thing, make sure you are enjoying your lessons! Taking lessons should be an enjoyable process. Sure there may be time in work you my feel challenged, but do your but to embraec the challenge! In due time you will see the fruits of your labor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be clear on what your overall goals are on the instrument you will be taking lessons.
