I specialize in theory, reading notation, finger style and improvisation in rock, blues, jazz, classical, r&b, reggae, country and latin. I've studied guitar and music from the age of 12. I attended Fullerton JC and received my AA there. I perform live and tour on a regular bases so my lessons are taught from a "real world" perspective. I have published a book through Hal Leonard and recorded with famed producer, Michael Vail Blum, who has recorded with Pink Floyd and Madonna. Im sponsored by Gibson, Monster Cable, John Pearse Strings, Budda Amps and Keeley Electronics. Let my education and performance experience teach you the right way to play guitar whether you are a beginner and new to music, or a seasoned player and you want to work on technique, reading or a new style. Feel free to call me with any questions!.
In addition to Lessons, I also perform solo guitar at Weddings and Private Events as well as with a band.

I like passing on the knowledge of everything I've experienced and worked hard for in music. I like to think that I'm not just a guitar/piano/bass/ukulele teacher, but a music coach. I don't want the student to just know their instrument, but how all of music works together, so they can see a bigger picture. I also like to tie in everyday aspects in life to music, to show how everything is related.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have him or her play something for me to see where they are at. If they haven't played anything before, I like to discuss their favorite music or why they are interested in learning that instrument.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied and got my degree at Fullerton College for jazz and classical. I learned how to read, write, arrange and analyze music theoretically.
Since then, I've been a musician playing shows across the country in different styles of music. I've also recorded professionally for other people and myself. I have written and published a book through Hal Leonard for composition and arranging.
