I enjoy teaching my students the love of music. Seeing students come to realization that music can be a life-long learning experience is very satisfying. Teaching privately does not feel like a job at all.
Lastly, I enjoy teaching my students and watching them progress in their learning.

How did you get started teaching?
My piano teacher in high school inspired me greatly. She gave me the freedom to Express myself through music but did not discourage me to develop other areas of my life, which at the time was playing high school football. I wanted to to be able to pass on the gift of music to students but also help them learn to incorporate the discipline of music in all aspects of their lives.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught 2 year olds. I have 80 year old students. I have taught students with severe learning, behavioral, or physical needs that require modifications and adaptations in order to learn to play their chosen instrument.
