Village Music School
About
Village Music School celebrated its 16th successful year of Arts Education in March 2016. With the purchase of their new Pleasant Hill building, Village Music School celebrated its Grand Opening in the Fall of 2012.
The Company opened its east bay doors in March of 2000, with a staff of five music teachers, a core group of fifty students and a commitment to creating, “a friendly place for learning”. Village now has a staff of over twenty five teachers instructing over five hundred students every week.
Village is highly committed to maintaining and growing meaningful partnerships with the public and private schools throughout the Diablo Valley, San Ramon Valley and Lamorinda communities. Executive Director and Founder Robert W. Konkle received the Community Service Award from Pleasant Hill in 2011 as acknowledgement of Village’s efforts to get arts education back into our schools. Success has only increased enthusiasm and focus for expanding the Center’s educational contributions to Bay Area Schools and communities.
We take great pride in the artistic and personal achievements of all Village students. It has been extremely gratifying to watch so many discover the gift of music, and as the Center continues to expand and develop fun and creative arts programs, we look forward to many more years of discovery and applause.
