About this pro

If you are reading this, I'd like to appreciate you for taking the time.

As a gerenal guitarist, I have been playing for 15 years.

As a classical guitarist, I studied with the mighty Andrew York (Grammy Winning Guitarist Composer) and Martha Masters (president of the Guitar Foundation of America) at California State University, Fullerton, where I graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor in Music. Therefore, I will be able to help you with your theory and musicianship (e.g. ear-training, sight-reading) as well.

As an electric guitarist, I have released original works available on major streaming services (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music) with my eclectic metal project, Piety to Agony, which means I should have quite a few things to share if you are interested in writing and recording.

At the end of the day, I am just a fellow music lover of yours it is exciting to me that I might have the privilege to share everything I know about it with you.

Oh and I also have competed in competitions throughout the years, nothing major, silver medalist at best, but I can still offer some insights and tips if you are interested in opening that can.

I always feel that it is a privilege to help nurture a student’s however little seed of interest in music and watch it grow into something that they might never expect to enjoy so much. Along that process I’m also so honored to be able to see it first hand how everyone shares their passion of music, art, or life in general in their own unique perspective. It might seem like a cliche but I do always learn something from every single one of my students that way and for that I am incredibly grateful to be able to do what I do.

When I learned guitar for the first time, he taught me so many things, like cords, rock n’ roll history, and music theory. Pretty great experience with him and so appreciated for the time we played together.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For students who have a fairly clear idea of what they want to learn, I will dissect their goals in a systematic way and try to reach a common ground with them where they understand or even appreciate the necessary "labor" that gets them there.

For students who are open canvas, I focus on fundamental musicianship such as reading and baisc ear training, and technique as in the physiology behind the movements that make the sound.
