Music Coach
About
I have been in the professional music industry for 20 years. I have been teaching as long as i have been a touring musician and music manager. Nashville, TN is predominantly where I work from and have enjoyed every minute.
My teaching philosophy is understanding how each student learns. Everyone learns different, and sometimes students may struggle with new material. That is ok. With me as your teacher I will give you the confidence, patience and understanding. My job as a teacher is to bring the very best of you on your instrument
and to instill the confidence. My goal is to teach you so well that eventually you’ll know how to hear a piece of music and learn it quickly and accurately.
The first time we meet, I will take the time to get to know you. Understand why you want to play, or perhaps why you decided to take lessons. My ambition is highlight a desire for you to practice your instrument, which means. We need to figure out what songs you eventually want to play. While you enjoy learning to play the songs that motivate you, we will lean music theory as this is a foundation for fundamental musicianship. Practice no longer becomes a chore but becomes something you look forward to accomplish!
About me:
I have studied music at McNally Smith College of Music. I play 20 instruments but few of those I perform professionally. I studied under Italian composer Franco Albian for 15 years as a classically trained musician. I’ve played in symphonies, metal bands, jazz bands and country bands and everything in between. My work has taken me to perform on stages such as “Mother Church” also known as The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN; Lincoln Center in New York and many shows around the country working as a musician and Tour manager for A-list acts. I am married to my beautiful southern belle of a wife named, Megan. We love hiking, volleyball and anything outdoors.
