About
Music is inside all of us, I do not believe in talent. If you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance. I use the music the student enjoys to teach them the technique they need to play well, all it takes is the commitment to stay with it and practice.
I teach electric and aucoustic guitar, bass, and drums, adults and kids alike, beginners to advanced, and I cater the lessons to what the individual wants and needs. I teach from my home studio where I have many instruments we can use to play together and, where my schedule allows it, I can also come to you. I have studied many kinds of music both here in America and all over the world, and I have performed and taught professionally for over fifteen years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For a new student I first ask what they want to learn, what kind of music they like, and what they already know. I believe in masterful technique, but I think that is best learned through the music the student enjoys. For example, If they want to learn to shred we pick one of their favorite guitar solos to learn from, or if they want to learn bar chords we pick a song they love that uses bar chords.
I also like to set goals with the student to keep us organized and on track and we will periodically assess whether or not we are achieving the goals we set out. Music is so vast it helps to set limits to what we want to learn and we can change or expand them as we go.
