Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer an initial meeting free of charge. This give you an opportunity to meet your potential teacher so be sure it is the right fit for you! We also use this time to go over studio polices and give you a tour of our location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are very picky about each teacher that works at StudioK Music. They all have specific experience in their area of expertise. They also hold our studio values deeply (mentoring, collaborating, enhancing, performing). To learn more about each teachers specific education visit our website: http://studio-k-music.com/music-teachers/
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have a session tuition price with monthly breakdown. This means that we have a tuition price for each session that we will break up into monthly invoices for you that will be due the 1st of the month. For example our spring session is sixteen weeks long so you woul have four invoices due on the first of each month.
How did you get started teaching?
Kalli, our director, starting teaching after she finished her music performance degree. It was a natural choice to give to other students the knowledge that she had been taught. This is how she feel in love with teaching and mentoring other teachers.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have had all ages of students ranging from six years old to fifty years old. The benefit of having a great team is that there is always a good fit for every student! As a director, Kalli loves talking to you about which teacher would be right for you.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We love providing students with our recital opportunities. These are always our biggest event. However, we also pride ourselves on offering unique opportunities for performing. We love our "Jam Camp" in the summer for students to collaborate. We also love going to open mics or helping students prepare for Stars of Tomorrow.
