What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start discussing the student's skill level and learning what they want to achieve through their music lessons. From there, if they are brand new to the instrument we start with the fundamentals and build towards their goals to accomplish. If they already have the experience I then cater their lessons to guide their abilities further in the direction of their goals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For Coaching lessons, where you send me a short video and I send a video response back, I charge $10 per request.
For regular Weekly Lesson students, I charge the following prices,
30 Minute Lesson - $35
45 Minute Lesson - $50
For Pay Per Lesson students I charge the following prices,
30 Minute Lesson - $40
45 Minute Lesson - $55
There are no other fees!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk to your potential instructor and know what you are looking for. I personally believe in having an instructor who is easy to talk to and that you are comfortable asking questions.
