I love when students find that with time and practice, they can change something in themselves, whether that be a new ability to hold a challenging yoga pose, or by creating a sense of calm for themselves using breath control. Yoga yoga can support you in your daily life, by teaching you about yourself and developing the discipline to make positive change.

Contentment, or Santosha, is one of the practices of yoga. Learning to be content with where you are, what you have, and what you can do, while at the same time, moving forward to the next level is an amazing way to live.

I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 20 years. I first started teaching online during March of 2020, when so many of my friends from around the world were not able to leave their homes. Online yoga provided a place where we could focus and find comfort.

Michele has a unique gift to meet people where they are. No pressure, just a renewing practice. Even my children love to come to yoga. They’re developing awareness and a love of their bodies through this loving practice

Michele is an incredible yoga instructor. She is the most calm and soothing instructor I’ve had in my practice. Listening to her voice guiding my poses brings me peace even when I’m in a deep pose or pushing in a sun salutation. I always feel refreshed and one with my body after a session with her. I recommend her to everyone to do yoga weekly!

Michele is such a wonderful teacher! She is calm and relaxed and gentle. She is happy to adjust her practice to her students' wants and needs and, especially during the pandemic, has been an important part of keeping me centered. I love how supportive and encouraging she is with her students.

Michele's patience and concern with where you are in your practice of yoga has helped me beyond measure to find poses and breathing techniques appropriate to my ability level post-spine surgery. I honestly never thought I'd get as far as I have so quickly, and it is a genuine joy to work with her. I feel better both physically and mentally, and I recommend her for any level of ability.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For private lessons, I will learn about the student's goals and health to create a customized experience. I have worked with all ranges of ages, fitness levels and physical conditions.

My goal is to create a yoga plan with each of my student's personal needs, that will sustain them and support their growth.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. My 200 hour certification is from Kripalu Center for Wellness and Health. I have continued to train in Yin, Chakra, and many other forms of yoga, as well as Pilates mat.
