Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First things first is basics. Footwork are key in boxing. Your first lesson will be based on a lot of footwork and learning the punch count.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've train fighters for over 10 years now. Plus the experience of me being in the ring myself helps alot on knowing what does and doesn't work. Also if your left handed it's a bonus to have me as your coach cause I'm a southpaw as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I like to do 30 mins sessions for $30 or a hour for $60 now if you book 5 sessions or more upfront then we lower each session by $5
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching while I was competing. I wanted my team to win like I was winning so I started helping them progress as well as I was progressing
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all ages starting at 5 years old. Amatuer and pro boxers as well as mma fighters for striking purposes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just recently had an event here in Orlando with two of my Young fighters. One came away with. Unanimous decision the other lost on a split decision. Each fight is a learning experience to get to the next level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that is really there to help you build not someone that's just looking to make money. You have to love this sport and have a passion to teach it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Find out exactly what your looking to do. Like is there a bully issue? Or do you want to lose weight? Do you want to compete? Those types of questions
