About
As a pediatric and geriatric hospice massage therapist, massage and yoga educator, and life-long student of how to be a better human, I love serving others. In all roles, I seek to soften the edges on pain and trauma in people's lives and help optimize their life.
I love to help. I love to serve. Making someone smile makes my day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love to have a brief chat with new clients about their goals, lifestyle, as well as past and current injuries or limitations before planning a roadmap to success. Every person is unique and one size does not fit all. Setting up appropriate expectations and goals is absolutely essential for the client to be able to track progress and feel accomplished in self-healing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2000. I spent 10 years coaching young women in health and fitness. I have been a teaching assistant with Touch Education for many years. I specialize in craniosacral therapy, I am certified in pediatric massage, and I have been a registered teacher since 2019. I lead self care yoga and mindfulness for a large hospice company 's employees.

How did you get started teaching?
I realized my love for teaching early in my life. Since then, I have taught cheerleading, fitness, massage, and yoga. When covid 19 hit, my employer asked me to provide virtual wellness for healthcare employees, working to deal with the pressure, stress, and tensions that filled the workday. The program.was successful and many people expressed gratitude for the leadership I was able to provide. The biggest reward for me was giving back to people who were serving our community.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mostly worked with people who are struggling with disease, an old injury, or trying to begin a fitness journey. I love that work, those are my people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I led mindful movement and breathing in my backyard for my family under our giant 200 year old live oak tree. Being able to love my husband and kids this way was such a gift. Watching the volume get turned down on their nervous system while they became truly relaxed was so rewarding.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be clear on your goals and make sure that you don't get caught up in appearances. Finding a teacher with passion and integrity is not that hard if you can have a brief conversation to see if they have a plan to help you reach those goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Describe your goal and give some background information, then ask them how they could help.
