Brent is a fun and energetic instructor who genuinely cares about the success of his students. He listened to my goals, was patient with my mistakes, and incredibly encouraging in his instruction. He had carefully thought through each lesson to teach in a way that I could understand, and had very insightful tips and techniques that really made a difference. Each lesson was beneficial and fun. I highly recommend Brent to any beginner.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The process for working with a new student of any age is as follows:

1. Get to know the student (passions, movitaions, rythms).

2. Develop clear and measurable goals.

3. Devlop a clear method of acheiveing those goals.

4. Coach the student through instruction and repition to achieve their goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors of Art Degree

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $45 for a 30-45 minute lesson: (times are exible)

My philosophy is this. You can go to a store that will hook you up to fancy machines (that you pay for), they will measure swing speeds, ball speeds, and any other speed with techincal equipment (that your money supplies), and fit you into some cookie cutter swing that may or may not be good for your swing or mobility. I really admire the approach of Arnold Palmer who says "Swing your swing. Not some idea of a swing. Not a swing you saw on TV. Not that swing you wish you had. No, swing your swing. Capable of greatness. Prized only by you. Perfect in it's imperfection. Swing your swing. I know, I did."

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

When it comes to the game of golf, everyone has very different flexabilities and mobilities. It cannot be a one size fits all approach. It takes some one learning you, your abilities, your mobilities, your swing and shaping you into a better golfer through clear, memorable, repeatable teachniques.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think through your goals. "I want to take lessons because i want .............". If you aim at nothing you will most likely succeed at nothing.
