Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to know exactly what you are trying to achieve, and then I help you get out of your comfort zone to achieve maximum results, but I’m very understanding of any limitations you may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m an experienced golden glove boxer that has trained three New England golden glove champs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is 35 per lesson, but a packet of 4 classes for 100 is much more affordable.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching very young as I learned to box as a kid, and I’ve trained many boxers over the years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ranges, from beginners to professionals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I’m very fond of working our tail off as the sun rises, because mike Tyson always said, he liked to train at 4 am only because he knew nobody else was.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell a student to understand exactly what they are looking for and to ask the teacher if they ever boxed competitively.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider if they truly want to learn how to box and compete, or if they just want to get a very thorough work out, that way we’ll know what approach to take.
