Chef Melissa has been teaching culinary arts for 18 years. Most recently at Le Cordon Bleu in Miami. She has held culinary positions in PA, CA,OR,NY and FL and has a varied background of cuisines. As a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America (AOS in Culinary Arts) and Penn State University (BS in Workforce Education) Melissa is a professional that can deliver lessons that will meet your needs. Whether it’s a private lesson to improve your skills, a pro looking for new skills or a party for friends you can count on new skills and a good time.
I love teahing people the skills that make cooking more enjoyable for them. I have wanted to be a chef since I was 9 years old, I love to cook and to share that passion with my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always like to know what interests the students most about what cooking and what they already know. From there we can work on a lesson plan that meets their needs.

AOS in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America
BS in Education from Penn State University
How did you get started teaching?
I started as an assistant teacher at a vocational high school. I feel in love with teaching right away.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and interests from pros to people who couldn't boil water.
