Lev has been practicing yoga for 13 years, and teaching for 6. He is a 1,000 hr trained Hatha Yoga instructor, certified by the Yoga Alliance. Lev specializes in therapeutic applications of yoga, utilizing his knowledge of functional anatomy and alignment principles to help unwind the body, while drawing upon his BA in Eastern Philosophy to share the ancient wisdom traditions that help soften the mind and guide you toward a deep well of relaxation and tranquility.
Helping people release pain is a reward in and of itself. It is a heart warming feeling. After a good session I feel more energized and engaged with the world, and I am grateful to the have opportunity to serve in a healing capacity.
Lev is a conscientious and deliberate teacher. He helped me focus on grounding my poses which helped me with building strength and flexibility. This is not westernized suburbanite yoga, Lev's teachings are rooted in a deeper connection with the self and finding physical release from a combination of breath, mindfulness, and posture.
The student and I work together to come up with a catered stretching and strengthening program that draws on the wisdom of yoga and the science of anatomy. We release pain first, then tone the body, stretch, strengthen, and unwind. Each session is completely personalized to your needs.

Yoga was my focus in college and has been an integral part of my life since then. Teaching feels natural because I love to share what has brought relief and joy into my life.
Having taught in India for 6 months, I've worked with international students ranging from 8 years old to 80, from private classes in retreat centers to goat yoga in barns. Ya, I can't believe I did that.
I fell in love with the YogaFest in North Michigan wilderness. An inspiring and eclectic gathering of about 300 Yogis and Yoginis, it is an intimate event of conscious folks practicing and celebrating together✌️. I felt fully recharged and beaming when I left.
Safety first! Then teamwork.
