I am able to meet each student wherever their starting point may be. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with children from just a few weeks of age through adults well into their eighties. Allow me to help you co-create a practice and discover wellness and joy through proper alignment, self-awareness and the power of the connection of the body, mind and spirit. Offering private sessions or small group sessions at Authentic Fusion Yoga, Wellness & SUP Paddle Studio in Venice or at your location in and around Venice, Nokomis, North Port, Englewood and Sarasota, Florida.
I am passionate about helping people feel better and more capable in their bodies and love working with individuals to determine and then meet their personal goals. I enjoy going back to basics and guiding clients to new insights resulting in new achievements. Traditionally yoga was taught one-on-one and teachers were able to guide students personally in their practice. I enjoy the opportunity to work in my boutique studio and outside with small groups and individuals in this traditional model. I love helping individuals to understand that there is yoga for everyone. Yoga is a combination of movement practice/hatha yoga with the practice of asana, breath practice/pranayama, meditation/dhyani, selfless action/karma yoga and other components that can be balanced for each individuals abilities, purpose and needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I welcome new clients with a complimentary consultation and assessment. This is an opportunity to visit the studio, meet with me and other practitioners, and to share personal goals and needs in a relaxed and supportive environment. This time together often helps clients to delve deeply into their "why" and clearly pinpoint their goals which in turn enables us to together build a program specific to those goals, needs and time & budgetary concerns.

How did you get started teaching?
Having spent many of the past 25 years living internationally in Africa, Japan and the South Pacific Islands, I have been fortunate to experience unique people, cultures and natural beauty yet struggled to focus on my needs and to create balance in my own life in the midst of constant change and transition. I began practicing yoga 15 years ago while living in Samoa to ease my transition back into the less relaxed pace of life in the northeastern US. My personal practice helped me come to appreciate the importance of creating close connections and the ability to feel grounded no matter how far out of one’s “comfort zone” one may be. Wanting to share my discoveries with others I became a Yoga Alliance registered ERYT teacher, TRX trainer and stand up paddle board instructor & SUP Yoga teacher and guide as well as offering SomaVeda® Thai Yoga and Thai Ayurvedic Wellness Coaching. With a lighthearted and compassionate approach I draw upon my specialized training in TRX, SUP, awareness-based YogaWorks, vinyasa, prenatal, postnatal and infant, children’s, restorative, and senior & therapeutic yoga, and a blend of Thai and Eastern Traditions as well as childbirth education and infant massage instruction to I support you in developing practices and creating challenges suited to your particular stage of life and needs. I look forward to helping you discover wellness, joy and beauty through self-awareness, proper alignment, relaxation practices and breath techniques, to embrace challenge without fear and to recognize the power of the connection of body, mind & spirit. ~Lynne T. What types of students have you worked with?
I have enjoyed supporting men & women of all ages, from newborn to individuals well into their 80s, as well as expectant mom's and those trying to conceive, their partners, new parents & their babies and children in the US, Kenya & Fiji. My clients have included those new to yoga, athletes, yogis with a long standing practice and individuals with special medical conditions seeking to improve their quality of life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A client recently thanked me for introducing them to some techniques that they used at night to get back to a sound sleep. It is always rewarding to know that I help students learn to apply what they learn in sessions to their everyday lives, needs and experiences!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that you are comfortable with, that listens to and respects what you want to accomplish with your practice of yoga.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Yoga is available to everyone!! It isn't just about postures, physical movement and flexibility. Yoga may be incorporated into your life as breath-work, relaxation or meditation or even service to others. Entering into a yoga practice is as much about becoming more flexible in your mind as in your body.
