About
Cheridan Smith is a lover of yoga, poetry, travel, sunsets and life. Cher received her Yoga Teacher training in India over the summer of 2018. She started with aerial yoga and now focuses on hatha, yin, and vinyasa flow, as well. This experience has made her passion and understanding of yoga extremely vivid. Having received the training in India, Cher feels more connected to the natural source and more at peace in her mind, body, and soul.
Rumi once said, “Let yourself become living poetry.” There is no better description of what yoga is to me. Yoga is living poetry: in movement, in flow, in feelings, in connecting yourself to every breath. Yoga is an art that works with each human based on their own needs. It is a practice I do to heal, to focus, to love, to breathe, and to live each moment in the present. Let the things that help us grow and the things we love be the things we do.
I am also an English, Spanish and ESL tutor. I taught for 3 years in these subjects but like the more one on one attention and growth.
I enjoy every aspect of what I do. Meeting people, helping them achieve their goals, watching people become the best versions of themselves and improving every single day to align the mind, body, and spirit.
I love watching people learn and be passionate about expanding their abilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love working with people. Watching people grow and become the best versions of themselves is a passion of mine. I love being a part of the process of self growth, acceptance, and love. When I have a new student I find out their strengths and weaknesses. I ask them about their goals and what they are trying to accomplish. This is a complimentary assessment and session before we begin proper exercises for the body.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. I got my teaching certificate in India over the summer of 2018. I spent a month in India practicing for over 8 hours a day.

How did you get started teaching?
I am passionate about teaching in general, therefore I decided to become a teacher about an art that I am fervent about. This art/lifestyle/sport just so happens to be yoga.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students. No age limitations.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look to better yourself and when you practice yoga you are aligning your mind, body, and soul. There is no better art than the art of mastering thyself.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
