How did you get started teaching?
Personally, I wanted to learn a martial art that wasn't overly complicated, and didn't require me to learn a foreign language..! Muay Thai is widley regarded as one of the most effective martial arts for both fitness and self defense. We have trained and fought extensivley in Thailand, and had the benefit of learing and training with some of the most decorated fighters in the world!
What types of students have you worked with?
All shapes sizes and ages! We train everything from complete begginers to professional fighters. But don't worry, we won't ever push you to fight, but we will push you hard to learn the real thing incase you ever need it!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our last pro event in New York City, our pro fighter Michael Stevens KO'd his opponent 2 mins into the first round!
But don't worry, we promise not to KO you (unless you ask for it!) :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research! There are plenty of martial arts gyms around, but very few have a stable track record and the ability to prove expertise via real application of the art.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You are responsible for your success or failure, are you ready to make a commitment to yourself and your future.
