About
My service is superior because when I learned how to play the guitar we didn't have You-Tube,electronic tuners,or tablature sheets. Because of that I developed a superior ear for music and can help my students use things that can make their learning experience easier and they will be less likely to give up. I play by ear and also read music!
I derive great pleasure in helping new guitar students to refine their skills and help them to become good guitar players! I enjoy working with students of all ages.I have been teaching for over 30years. I know what I'm doing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do is find out their skill level. Then when I determine that I am able to help them go from there. I show students how to read music, tablature and guitar chords. I show them how to play a song as soon as possible so they can see for themselves they can learn how to play a song.If they can learn one song they can learn another.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught guitar player and singer.I taught myself how to read music by asking many questions to my sisters who played musical instruments at school. I discovered that I have a good voice when I played with bands. I would play rythym guitar and sing. I have been playing since I was 15 and I am 62 now.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am teaching a teenager who is learning disabled and I taught him how to play his first song. He was so overjoyed it made me feel proud to help him. He is one of my best students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell the student to make sure his teacher is patient and has a genuine attitude to help his students. Teaching guitar from scratch takes a great deal of patience.
