About
I am a worship leader, singer / songwriter and guitar instructor. I have been playing guitar for about 20 years and leading worship in churches for 15 years. I am currently employed as a contracted musician and worship leader at Fort Benning GA for the chapel services. I like to play and teach most all kinds of music but my passion is christian music.
When I get a new student I find out what kind of music they like, and what the first song they want to play is. When I teach I try not to go too fast, and I make sure the student understands what he or she is learning.
I enjoy beeing able to play guitar every day and teaching others what I know. I love seeing a student play a song for the first time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what kind of music they like and the first song they want to play. I teach them how to play the most common chords and some basic rhythms so they can start playing songs right away. After they learnd a few chords I start teaching guitar scales a theory. I tray to make it fun so sudents dont get bored.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up in a very musical family. My mom and grandmother played piano and my dad and uncle played guitar. My mom was also a music teacher. I started taking piano lessons when I was about 10 and then transitioned to guitar whent I was about 13. I have been playing guitar now for over 20 years.

Lessons are $20 per week for 30-45 minutes depending on the student.
