More than lessons—an invitation to connect with your guitar, and yourself.
About Me
What's up, my name is Deacon. I teach beginner guitar with a focus not only on the fundamentals—chords, rhythm, and technique—but also on developing a deeper connection with the instrument.
I am a self-taught guitarist and have been playing for over 24 years. Because I learned on my own, I know firsthand the challenges beginners face—the confusion, the frustration, and the small breakthroughs that keep you going. My journey taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of connecting deeply with the guitar, and I bring that same understanding into my teaching.
For me, the guitar has always been more than wood and strings. It has been a steady companion through some of life’s hardest moments. When friends or family couldn’t be there, the guitar was. Playing helped me heal, reflect, and find calm when everything else felt uncertain.
When we work together, my goal is not just to show you how to play songs, but to help you discover your own voice through the guitar. It can become a friend, a safe space, and a source of expression you can return to again and again—something that grows with you and supports you wherever life takes you.
