Lars Nagel

Hey! My name is Lars Nagel. I was in touring/recording bands for 20 years. Since 2017 I’ve been a solo recording/performing singer/songwriter and have released four solo cd’s and currently in the studio making a new album. I have been teaching guitar to kids & adults in person/online since 2011. My main goal as a guitar teacher is to inspire students to keep picking up the instrument.

I do not myself read music so there’s not much ‘music theory’ but I can write up chord progression and lead scales.

To me it’s equally rewarding to show a beginner a basic G chord as it is to take a more experienced player into the studio for the first time to make their first EP.

Music is what anybody wants it to be and there are no rules.

I simply really enjoy teaching beginners to learn how to play the guitar, in their own way. Obviously there are fundamentals, but , YOU is your strongest weapon, so a person’s style and vibe is far more important than their technique.

I teach rhythm/lead guitar, strumming/picking patterns and songwriting.
