My main instrument (and my degree from Valdosta State University) is on drums and percussion. But over the years I've worked on guitar, uke and I play piano everyday. I practice music every day for at least 20 minutes and it enriches my life to no end. I couldn't imagine life without music.
Experience:
If you live in West Cobb....you might have seen my music store. The one with all the stained glass windows of rock stars. After 20+ years of being a mom and pop shop, I sold out to a corporate music store. I worked for them as a manager for a while, but I missed teaching music!
Objective:
I teach music lessons to people.....but it's more than that...... I am teaching kids to become smarter and teaching adults to get something more out of life. I'd love to help you reach your musical goals. let's talk!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm a huge believer in method books. YouTube although an excellent tool for many things, is not great for learning a musical instrument instead of lessons. Why? Because the student will find the coolest thing and trys to learn it. They give up! It's too hard. It's like learning how to swim by jumping in the deep end! Method books start you from the beginning and mark your progress. The student can look back and see what was difficult a couple of months ago is now not so hard and feel good about that progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in music from Valdosta State University. I have been teaching private lessons for over 25 years.
