About
I have a Masters degree from DePaul University and Doctorate in music from the University of Illinois and have been a professional guitarist for 30 years. I have my own guitar studio and initiated the Guitar Programs at Moraine Valley Community College and Visible Music College. I have been teaching guitar at the college level for for over 20 years. I play almost all styles of guitar and have recorded with many well known artists.
Teaching and playing music have always been my passion. I have had students go on into successful professional musical careers and to advanced degrees. I have toured most of the United States and Europe.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I've had studenst as young as 8yrs. old to 88yrs old. From beginners to advanced players. First I listen to them if they play already and see what might be helpful for them to improve. If starting frrom scratch, I begin with parts of the guitar, finger exercizes and some basic chords. We progress from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. in music, M.A. in music, D.M.A. in music. Play all styles of guitar for over 30 yrs.

I chargr $25 per 1/2 hr.
