About this pro

At Bristol Recording & Voice Studios we offer a variety of services such as private voice, piano and guitar lessons in addition to having professional music production and recording studios on site. We are one of the few vocal programs in the world that teaches the gospel/pop method (non-classical) which is the style of singing used by nearly every contemporary major recording artist for the last 40 years. We offer a free 'no obligation' introductory lesson with one of our teachers to discuss how the program can help you acheive your goals as a singer, whether you are a beginner, or professional singer looking to tune up your voice.

At Bristol Studios, our teachers enjoy helping singers recognize and bring out the unique qualities of their voice and sharing specific tools of the Bristol Methos to improve their voice to the fullest potential. Our teachers are professionally certified in the Bristol Method and are trained to help students at any level, whether they enjoy singing on a casual basis or aspire to professional standards. I really didn’t know the true potential of my voice until I started taking lessons at Bristol. There is a great deal to be learned in these lessons, and if you work at it results come pretty quickly. The classes are super fun and the teachers are knowledgeable, confident and very helpful. Definitely worth checking out even if you just like to sing for fun.

The teachers at Bristol Voice Studios have been helpful, and amazing! My voice has developed quite a bit since I’ve studied at Bristol. I have gained more confidence with my singing and have developed the skills I need to be the best singer I can be!

There are only caring, helpful, patient and knowledgeable voice teachers at Bristol Studios. They take the time to really listen and evaluate what you are doing with your singing. My voice used to hurt when I would “belt” out my favorite song. Now I can properly place those high notes with ease so I sound really pro. My voice has improved five-fold!”

I came to Bristol Voice Studios with a classical/musical theater background. After my first lesson, I realized my full potential as a pop singer. After the second lesson I was amazed at what my true vocal range was, and I realized that I had been singing incorrectly for the kind of music I actually liked to sing. The opera sound won’t cut it in the pop scene. I am very confident that the Bristol Voice Method program can make any singer reach their full potential.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We offer a FREE no obligation consultation to evaluate the students voice. We focus on what skills the student already has, and what skills they need to focus on. From there we develop a specific curriculum based on the students needs and personal goals.

What types of students have you worked with?

We work with varying levels of students. Some of our students wish to improve their performances at open mics and some of them aspire to go on and become professional singers. Several of our students have auditioned and been selected on tv shows such as American Idol, The Voice and XFactor. The benefit of our program is that it leaves students with the knowledge and tools to navigate the world of pop/gospel music and allowing them to curate a voice that grabs the attention of listeners.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

It is important to find a teacher that understands what you are looking for. There are many people out there who teach classical, operatic and musical theater styles of singing but not many who solely focus on the pop/gospel style. While other teaching styles can still be successful in shaping a contemporary voice, our program specifically studies the techniques and styles of the chart toppers from the past 40 years. If you want to see results, the best thing to do is to study the voices that have achieved the results that you want.
