I follow a structured flow but also personalize each class to individualized needs. I start classes with breathwork and joint mobility exercises to enhance longevity. I incorporate tapping and purging exercises to rid stagnant qi as well as add in gentle movements to build strength and flexiblity in the body - especially where specific issues need to be addressed. Where relevant I include flowing Dao Yoga movements to build reslilency After doing this which rids the body of toxic qi and aleviates lines of tension (freeing up energy to support healing and rejuvenation) I move to gentle flowing medidative movements that drive mind, body awareness and support emotional stability. Across the practice I use customized accupressure points and healing sounds to enhance the healing effects of the movements. Notably, I use both the healing sounds for the healing the physical body as well as the the sounds to support overall emotional balance. All movements can be modified for those who require a seated position. These movements, sounds and breathwork relieve the body of stress, tension and tightness, heal and rejuvenate the body and support a calm, focused, and centered mind. Notably, I am also a certified Reiki Master and if desired I can incorporate healing Reiki energy into the session as well.
I am a cancer survivor as well as dealt heavily with depression. I believe Qigong and the healing sounds saved my life and kept me off depression drugs. It is the only thing that worked for me. It still supports me daily in remaining healthy not only physcially but emotionally. Qigong is the only exercise that rejuvenates and energizes the body as well as heals the mind and soul. I love it and got certified so I could share this ancient healing practice with others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I do a complimetary 15 to 30 minute intake session via phone to review needs so that I can customize the clasess and agree to times/days for working together. I can do 30, 45 or 60 minute classes. Longer if desired. Prior to the first class I explain what I am going to do and continue to queue what I am doing and why with respect to helping the client to address his/her needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Nick Loffree Certified Qigong instructor and currently work directly with Lee Holden to continue to reinforce and renew training. I am also a certified Reiki Master. I teach qigong privately as well at Boston Medical and have tought for the town of Reading Senior Citizens Wellness Program.
