About
I'm very passionate about teaching bass and guitar players, the concepts of "Groove Theory'' . It doesn't matter what genre of music you are playing, it's vital to understand the concept of rhythm and timing when playing along with other musicians. I've been teaching guitar and bass for 5 years, and playing guitar and bass professionally for over 10 years in the DC/Maryland area. My lessons are designed to teach beginner to intermediate guitar and bass players how to become the soulful musician that lays down solid groove. In Groove School guitar and bass students will learn "Groove Theory", techniques, chords/grooves from a variety of genres, and legendary riffs from hit songs.
What I enjoy about teaching lessons is seeing my students light up and smile when they grasp new musical concepts or nail the guitar/bass riff that they've been practicing. It's an extremley rewarding proccess and priveledge to see a students growth.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with new students I always make sure to reassure them with encouragement. Also, I like to make sure that I teach my students the concepts that they want to learn. To ensure this I customize my lessons to each student.

I have been teaching music privately and professionally for 5 years.

I've worked with students of all age level from ages 5 - 45 years old.
