I am currently a junior in college majoring in music production and sound engineering with a minor in music industry business. I was in a music magnet program from 8th grade throughout highschool, and have 5 years of music theory, and roughly 3 years of music technology and sound recording experience. I know how to read music, and play piano and guitar. I am classically trained as a vocalist as well, and can help you learn basic theory skills, as well as practical skills for a craft.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask and see their current standing with music theory knowledge, and see what they need to brush up on, or learn. Once we know what they need to learn, we can create a timeline and plan to ensure everything is met.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
5 years of music theory, 2 years of music history, and 3 years (as well as currently) of music technology and sound engineering.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is negotiable dependant on what the student needs to learn, or how long they will want to have lessons for.
How did you get started teaching?
I am still in college, and started teaching on the side my freshman year. That is roughy two years of experience under my belt.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students that did not know theory to any degree, as well as students who may have known theory at some point but forgot the basic fundamentals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently was hired to play piano for a senior's showcase. I played the entirety of the show with a total of 13 songs. I also helped with the setup of lights, and sound, and ensuring everything with the instruments ran smoothly.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
As i tell anyone, make sure you get along with your teacher, and have fun during lessons. The point is to learn, but if you are not actively engaged and having fun learning, you will not retain the information, and may lose your passion for it.
