About

I am a current musician and performer around the Twin Cities area. I work in the field I teach in, which I think is very important. I am connected to various youth theatres and musical programs, and can help students with auditions through coaching and informing them of the possibilities around the area.

I also have a background in improv and clowning, which gives me the ability to adapt to various students and connect with them wherever they are coming from.

I love seeing someone get excited about music! It's something I love, and I enjoy being a part of the moment when a student makes that connection. I love learning new ways to approach the subject through interactions with students and new points of view. And I love the silliness and amazing process of learning something new. It can be scary, it can be weird, but it's a brilliant journey to get to share with someone.

Very professional and adaptive to the needs of the student. They made me feel comfortable enough to explore my voice in a way I had never done before and would often adapt the lessons to how well I was doing, versus if there was something I needed to spend more time on. At no point did I feel any sense of judgement or that I needed to be better than what I was. They made me feel it was ok to be where I was at with my skills and technique and that even when I didn’t seemed to be progressing, they reminded me it was just a plateau and there’s was forward movement. I felt comfortable and confident in growing as a singing under their teaching.

    Frequently asked questions

I begin with a conversation and set of questions to see what the student is looking for. A few example questions:

-What style are they interested in (pop, classical, musical theatre, etc.?)

-What is their background in voice, if any?

-Why are they interested in learning voice? What makes them the most excited? The most nervous?
