My teaching approach:

I try to cater to the student's "likings". By doing this I can then determine the student's "needs". Keeping it fun is important for both sides. I also stress the importance of learning the basic building blocks and language of music. As a side note I also teach: dobro, lap steel, & beginning mandolin.
