We work with you to offer a personalized approach to training in self-defense and mixed martial arts.
Our trainers all hold black belts and decades of martial arts experience, with particular focus on the disciplines of Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (ground fighting), Judo, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga. Drawing from this range of fighting styles, we develop a training strategy that is customized to your goals.
During over 20 years of training, martial arts has enriched my life in countless ways. I love working with others to help them experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of martial arts practice — enhanced fitness and wellness, improved focus and discipline, and a greater sense of security and self-reliance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first step is to work with the student to define objectives. For instance, is the student mostly interested in fitness, or perhaps wants to fight competitively, or just wants a fun way to lose weight. From there we design a training plan that will achieve the goals we set. If the student gets to the gym consistently as per the plan, the results will come.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and experience in Jeet Kune Do, Kali/Eskrima, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Boxing. Our gym features several black belt instructors, some of whom have competed at the professional level.
