We are a martial arts school that has been on the Upper West Side since 1963. We specialize in traditional Japanese martial arts. Judo, Japanese Jiujitsu, Aikido and Karate. Sensei Shintaro Higashi is a multiple World Cup medalist and has a Masters degree in teaching. We welcome all ages for group and private lessons.

Salutations, my name is Instructor Vincent. Benitez and I teach Jeet Kune Do in Rochelle Park, NJ at the Knights of Columbus. I have over 15 years experience, training under Sifu Richard Torres who was a student of Ted Wong (a Bruce Lee student). We train every Wednesday at 7pm. We focus on the self-defense aspect of Bruce Lee's martial art. It is simple, direct, and non-classical. I would like to invite you to join us for training and gain insight to protecting yourself.

We teach authentic Chinese Martial Arts, with a focus on Bajiquan 八極拳, the “Eight Extreme Fist”. Bajiquan is an ancient style of northern Chinese kungfu style that is known for its explosive power expression and the famous elbow strike, DingXinZou. Bajiquan is one of the few traditional CMA styles that is offensive oriented. Perfect for modern combat, self-defense and because of its Traditional CMA traits, it cultivates one’s body and mind.
