I hope you will consider joining my studio! I am a rising senior in classical guitar performance at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, with a strong background as a piano player as well. I have been the recipient of several awards and first prizes, as well as three summers on fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival. Some of my proudest moments have been watching the children and adults I work with completely change and open up in a matter of weeks, and realizing what will be a lifelong passion for music. I have past experience teaching children in groups at a public school in Los Angeles, as well as people of all ages individually as part of my own private studio. I am punctual, reliable, and communicative, and I currently have a very flexible schedule! I am comfortable and knowledgeable in teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced guitar, as well as beginner and intermediate piano. I love to make learning music fun for my students-- I began piano lessons when I was 3 years old myself-- so I know just how special, exciting and life-shaping it can be! I am comfortable teaching remotely, as well as commuting in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
She was very kind and patient and was very easy to get along with. Very informative and interesting too
Mackenzie is a very talented guitar player and teacher who has been teaching my son for the past six months. She is patient, helpful and professional. Before he started with Mackenzie he could not read music at all, but now he can read and play basic guitar repertoire. Highly recommend.
She has been reliable, patient and has helped me improve rapidly!
