The Dor Way
About
Hi, I’m Dorian, founder of The DOR Way.
Music has been one of the most powerful forces in my life. As a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and recovery peer professional, I’ve experienced firsthand how music can build confidence, create connection, and help people discover parts of themselves they didn’t know existed.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, looking to improve your technique, or hoping to understand the “why” behind music theory, I meet you where you are and help you build a strong foundation at a pace that feels comfortable and rewarding.
Students can expect lessons that are engaging, supportive, and practical. I focus not only on learning songs and techniques, but also on developing creativity, confidence, and a genuine understanding of music. My goal is to help students become independent musicians who enjoy the learning process and feel empowered to continue growing long after the lesson ends.
What makes me an excellent instructor is my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. My background in peer support has taught me how to listen, adapt, and create a safe environment for learning. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take pride in helping each person discover their own path and voice through music.
I believe anyone can learn music with the right guidance, consistency, and encouragement—and I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
