I've been performing and teaching professionally for over 20 years. While the guitar is my main instrument, I have a degree in Music Education from NJCU, where I learned to play and teach multiple brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. I have been an elementary public school band director in North Jersey for 17 years. I have been honored with the Governors' Teacher of the Year Award in 2008 and have won several awards with my school ensembles. I can teach beginning through intermediate levels on most instruments, and advanced/professional lessons on all styles of the guitar. Dave is one of the most professional and knowledgeable teachers I have ever had. He was able to break me out of the rut I was in and get me to look at the fretboard completely differently. He taught complex theory concepts ( at least complex to me) extremely patiently and thoroughly. Weekly lessons always felt personalized, Dave was always prepared for each virtual lesson with a specific concept to teach that was geared toward me and my playing. Thank you for everything Dave! I hope to be able to return soon.

Met Dave at a gig a little under a year ago and have been taking guitar lessons with him ever since. His passion teaching is unmatched, and his love for music inspires me every week! Dave is the best! We are so lucky to have found such an amazing music teacher for the kids. He has taught them so much but most importantly, he continually fosters their love for music and always encourages them to keep learning. My kids went from not wanting to join concert band in school to joining not only concert band but also Jazz band and marching band. Dave is super cool and personable, not to mention his extensive experience and teaching qualifications, I mean kids just ADORE him.
Thank you so so much for all these years of amazing music instruction. You always challenged the kids to the point they surprised themselves (and us parents) with the music they can make. If you want the best music teacher out there, go to Dave! You will not be disappointed.
