Stuart Goodwin Guitar Lessons

My teaching approach:

I used to play in a touring melodic metalcore band called "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and I have years of experience playing varying rock/metal styles. I keep gear simple and lightweight with an RP355 digital effects pedal and a Marshall practice amp. I play a 7 string LTD guitar. I try to keep lessons as fun and informative as possible so the more you ask for before each lesson; the more you learn! I don't like lesson time to be unproductive so I highly suggest students to have TuxGuitar or GuitarPro to speed along the learning process

My guitar lessons take place in:

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

7 days per week starting 12 PM ending at 9 PM

Guitar Techniques:

Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

I quickly ask how long they've played, what they want to learn and go from there! I do also like to throw in fun challenges like a riff or mini solo or a call/respond type of thing.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

A lesson with me can either be for playing guitar or song writing. For playing, I'd show what techniques and tricks I learned to be able to play highly advanced songs including songs of your choice or my own material if requested. As for song writing, those lessons/suggestions/listens can simply be done over the phone and the final song result is entirely yours. I merely guide you to the best result.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
