I Start off by teaching the student the proper technique for that particular instrument. That means how you hold and play the instrument properly that is very important to advance so you don't run into any issues further down the road when you're developing. I then will teach the student how to play chords how to strum chords how to pick out notes but also getting used to transitioning from one chord to another which is usually much more difficult in the very beginning that you just have to keep doing it over and over until you get better or smoother at it. Then I will pick a song or songs that will be easy enough for this student to start to play and work on getting better and with each song we will keep adding on more and more. Based on the individuals goals I will then also start to get into Music theory, this way as you're learning how music theory works along with why you're playing, and developing chords, and playing songs, you will learn the insight to understand music on a higher level of why it is you're playing certain chords together in certain songs so it makes more sense musically.

I'm a trained Musician (Private Lessons) and have been Studying & Teaching for over 37 years. I've taught, Recorded & Played everywhere from small to large venues from NJ, NY to CA and back, so you get all that culture and experience in every Lesson you take. All Lessons are done at UBG Music School, located in North Brunswick, NJ which I am the Owner and Head Teacher at the School, UBG Music School. I do offer Lessons online as well, if for some reason it's more convenient for you. I've taught all over the Country and the world, from Montana to Florida, from North Carolina to California, from Canada to Dubai, from Korea to Bahrain. All Lessons are Designed for the Student to help them reach their goals, but they are based on my approach of training you to be a professional musician. I recommend doing 60-minute lessons, The reason I recommend 60 minutes is that you'll need 20 minutes to review what you had as homework, 20 minutes of being tested with Music theory, then 20 minutes of learning something new. I Guarantee you'll learn more studying with me in 3 months, then you will with anyone else in a year. We start out with a plan for every student that is easy to understand, with a strong foundation, and a commonsense approach. We make adjustments based on the goals of each individual student in order to accommodate to their needs. The school is a Professional Recording studio that will be incorporated into the lessons. It's used as a tool to help the student as they progress to be able to hear them self being recorded, and eventually you'll record the songs you are playing.
